We are Faithful to God

Remember, love is that fruit of God’s Spirit that causes us to seek another’s better good.  This is the root of fellowship and the reason why we do it at all:  fellowship enables us to seek one another’s better good.  It’s a means by which we can know one another, bond, grow closer, work through difficult times, and strengthen one another.  In short, it’s how we, as members of Christ’s body, learn to love … by learning to love one another.

The earliest Christians understood fellowship and acted on that understanding.  In Acts 2:43-47, we learn that, as soon as they were baptized:

Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

The church continues to fellowship to this day.  Fellowship among Christians is the foremost means by which we can seek one another’s better good.  Providing for one another’s needs, establishing and growing lifelong friendships, encouraging one another through tragedies or difficult times, and, most of all, learning together how to become better Christ-followers are only a few of the blessings that come through fellowship.  Who wouldn’t want to be part of a group like this?  You can be!  Let us help you find a church who can provide the fellowship you need.

We are Faithful To God’s Son

Jesus, God’s son, manifested himself on earth as a human being, lived the life of a man, was betrayed and murdered, and rose from death to assume all authority over all of creation.  We are faithful to Him.

We are Faithful to God’s Word

The Bible, God’s Word, breathes life, beauty, and truth into our spirits and inspires us to develop as God wants us to:  into images of Him.  We are faithful to the Word.

We are Faithful to Service

The Bible tells us that “faith without works is dead.”  We take this seriously.  Service to others is one of the most notable aspects of Christianity, especially service to the poor and to the moral development of children.  We are faithful to service.

We Are Faithful To Community

Each congregation of the Churches of Christ is a community of its own located within a larger community.  There would be no purpose for a church that was not.  Love demands that we seek its better good.  We are faithful to community.
